Miguel Egaña and Aritz Antolín at Design Re-Evolution

The Embassy of Italy in Madrid continues to strengthen the relationship between Italy and Spain by participating in the "Design Re-Evolution" exhibition by Interni Magazine. They have set up their installation at FuoriSalone for the fourth time, located in the courtyard of the University of Milan. They will be open to the public for free until April 26th.

This participation aims to showcase the five winning projects from the fourth edition of the "ITmakES" competition. Two notable projects presented at the exhibition are those from IED Madrid alumni, Miguel Egaña and Aritz Antolín. Miguel Egaña's project, titled "¿UNA SILLA, UN JARRÓN?" explores the concept of a chair and how people perceive it. Aritz Antolín's "AMA AMA" project pays tribute to the "rederas" - women who repair nets in Basque ports - a profession that is in danger of disappearing. He created a series of baskets made of biomaterials that preserve the work and techniques of these women in our homes.
