Andi Kacziba's "Crushing Destiny" Performance at Milan's Fabbrica del Vapore
Published on April 27, 2023
Andi Kacziba, alumnus IED Milano and IED Venezia, recently concluded a four-part series of performances exploring the role of women in contemporary society with her latest performance, "Crushing Destiny".
Kacziba's performance featured her walking barefoot on a large white canvas covered with over 500 recycled eggshells filled with gold, accompanied by a metronome, in a ritualistic and cathartic practice. The Hall of Columns also exhibited thirteen prints of Polaroid images as evidence of the previous three performances. "Crushing Destiny" marks a successful conclusion to Kacziba's performative acts that began in 2018 with "Turning (g)old."
