Under Design Lebanon

Great success for "Under Design Lebanon," an exhibition supported by IED and curated by alumnus Ghassan Salameh. Throughout Milan Design Week, it will be on view, hosted by the VIAFARINI Association, at 35 Via Farini (Isola-Porta Nuova District).

The exhibition displays a realistic mapping and projection of the organisms still functioning in Lebanon during a social, political and economic crisis.

The exhibition urges to move away from the appearance of design as a commodity, disassociated from local and global contexts and responsibilities to save what is essential. Small and medium-sized businesses related to design, crafts and trade remain the primary sources of income for many families.
