Discover the new font designed by the alumnus Mario De Libero

Mario De Libero, a graduate in Advertising Communication and alumnus of the course in Typography and Calligraphy - The Font Design at IED Firenze, has created a new font called Swanstone. Mario, a former winner of the Olivetti Design Contest, developed the new font by studying Old Style typefaces of the 19th century. In Italy, one of these typefaces was the Raffaello Bertieri, which he used as a starting point for his research into a contemporary reinterpretation of these exuberant and disturbing forms. Kaisha Davierwalla and Andrea Grecucci, Product Design Alumni at IED Milano, are the founders of Vaspaar, a digital gallery that hosts a collection of Italian mid-century designs. On 6 July, they introduced a new section dedicated to contemporary design. The gallery approaches a younger public also thanks to targeted consultancy and an excellent taste for historical artefacts.
