2021 South & Southeast Asia Metal Handicraft Exhibition
Sponsored by the Yunnan Provincial Department of Education and the Yunnan Association of Artists, and organised by the Yunnan University of the Arts, the exhibition named Enduring Flames Intimate Friends is designed to invite brilliant artists to share their high-quality metal craftwork.
Via art, the universal language, we would enrich cultural communications and achieve a deep understanding among the people in the regions. At the same time, it aims to promote exchanges and cooperation in teaching and scientific research in hopes of realizing the enhancement of those disciplines related and the high-quality protection, inherit, and innovative development of ethnic folk handicraft industry in the regions.
The exhibition will cover three sections, namely Tradition Review, Classical Study and Innovative Experiment, and will take advantage of diverse methods as physical works, pictures and videos to display the similar or different forms of various handicrafts in the regions and show people's pursuit for a better life as well as appreciation and respect for colorful cultures.
About the timeline:
Exhibition from August 12th, 2021 to September 20th, 2021 - with submission of projects by November 2021 (day TBC).
