IED @ Fashion Film Festival Milan0
Fashion, culture, sustainability. The Fashion Film Festival Milano in digital edition is on until January 18. It is one of the most international event in the field of audiovisual fashion communication, and will take place during the Milano Fashion Week Uomo in collaboration with Camera Nazionale della Moda.
IED will participate in the "Concorso" section of this prestigious event by entering 6 fashion movies made by our alumni from IED Milano, Firenze and Roma, as part of the Amphibia project, presented last January in Altaroma. The short movies are linked by a theme centred on water, a primary resource of the ecosystem, that generates and influences human life. It has been interpreted as birth, transformation, evolution, adaptation to the environment in the 6 film, which are Gola, directed by Simone Folli; Petricore, directed by Sara Rhodio; Venus, directed by Pietro Cavallari; Out.Create, directed by Cristina-ioana Stana; Crawled Ashore, directed by Cristiano Naldi; and The Abstract Problem, directed by Luca Cioffi.

Also in competition is the Use Me Again and Again project, an educational work developed during the Triennial course of Fashion Stylist in IED Milano, directed by Giorgia Colonna and Antonpio Rubino, with the artistic direction of Giulia Sgobba. It is a video-performance that ponders, through the act of wearing clothes abandoned in a garbage bag, on identities that have been rejected and readopted in post-consumer society.
The European Institute of Design will also be represented in the "Fuori Concorso" section, by a short film shot during the lockdown called The Time is Now! New Citizen 1.5!, which relives the evolution of the project in collaboration with the Italian Consortium Implementation Detox - CID and Greenpeace Italy on sustainable fashion. It was produced by six multidisciplinary teams from all the Italian IED sites, including:
Cagliari (Enrico Deiana, Gabriele Onnis, Giulia Balloi); Como (Gennaro Roseto) Firenze (Mattia Tassoni); Milano (Benedetta Dal Fiume, Federico Guidi, Giulia Sabet, Gabriele Poletti, Neithan Ruizpillajo, Sara Matacena, Anna Vedovelli, Chiara Fasani, Maria Pollastrelli, Valeria Nicoletti); Roma (Umberto Carpani, Fabio Brunone, Chiara Grimaldi, Lorenzo Evangelista, Cristian Rizzo, Giulio Montalto); Torino (Aminata Diop, Elena Frigerio, Alessio Caminiti, Letizia Guglielmino, Luca Casalino, Eleonora Dini, Silvio Vurro).
