Alumni of the month for IED Milano Fashion School: Walter Chiapponi and Alessandro Vigilante

Published on January 9, 2024

The end of 2023 has brought big changes in the fashion world, with two former students of IED Milano Fashion School as leading players. We are talking about Walter Chiapponi and Alessandro Vigilante, two creatives who arrived at important turning points to their careers.

The rapid turnover in fashion is no longer a new story, and Water Chiapponi, after 5 years with the brand Tod's, takes the creative direction of Bluemarine, the Italian brand that in the 70s emerged in the scene among giants like Versace and Armani with an intelligent and sensual idea of the womanswear.
Walter is a talented and experienced designer who started his career at IED Milano and continued his training in impeccable craftmanship with Givenchy, Valentino, Gucci, Miu Miu and Bottega Veneta.

The month will be a popping one also for Alessandro Vigilante, with his new role as Creative Director of Rochas, the French historical brand founded in 1925 and currently owned by the Procter & Gamble group. With Puglian roots, Alessandro studied Fashion Design at IED Milano and afterwards he worked for Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Lorenzo Serafini and The Attico, while developing also his own eponymous collection. He loves art, being a former professional dancer, and art loves him back: celebrities like Maneskin, Kylie Jenner and Katy Perry often wear his creations on red carpets and on social media.

Good luck to both of them, we can't wait to see what their talent holds for us in the future!
