IED Alumni Spotlight: Opportunities for Creative Excellence
This month, we're happy to highlight many incredible opportunities for our IED alumni eager to significantly impact their respective fields. Whether you're a budding designer, an aspiring photographer, or an innovative filmmaker, there's something for everyone.
Designers in Residence Scholarship Program in Pforzheim
First on our list is the Designers in Residence scholarship program hosted in Pforzheim, Germany. This is an unparalleled opportunity for young designers to carry on their own design and creative research projects by immersing themselves in a three-month working phase. The program doesn't just offer a space; it provides fully equipped workspaces, ensuring you have all the tools you need to bring your vision to life. Additionally, participants receive a monthly stipend, allowing them to focus entirely on their creative endeavours. The residency culminates in an exhibition at the EMMA – Creative Center Pforzheim, showcasing the fruits of your labor.
FRESH EYES International's Open Call
For those passionate about photography, FRESH EYES International's Open Call is a golden ticket to international recognition. This initiative invites photographers to submit their work in various categories, including Documentary/Street, Black and White, Conceptual, Fashion, and Portrait. The selected talents will not only be featured in an atmospheric softcover magazine. Still, they will also be distributed internationally, thanks to the partnership with GUP Magazine. This is a fantastic platform to get your work in front of galleries, curators, and other key players in the photography industry.
iF DESIGN AWARD 2024
If you want to benchmark your skills against the best in the design world, the iF DESIGN AWARD 2024 is your contest. Recognized as one of the world's most prestigious design awards, this competition offers a unique platform across nine design disciplines, from product and communication design to UX and UI. Participants receive invaluable feedback from a panel of international experts, providing a comprehensive learning experience beyond the accolade.
Suoni e Visioni
Last but not least, we have the third edition of UnArchive. Suoni e visioni, an artistic residency program specifically designed for young Italian filmmakers and composers under the age of 36. This program is a treasure trove for those interested in creatively reusing archival cinema material and musical experimentation. Participants can collaborate on personal projects using materials provided by AAMOD and other partner archives. The residency includes specialized training and workshops, culminating in creating audiovisual works up to 20 minutes long.
This month offers a rich tapestry of opportunities for IED alumni to excel, learn, and showcase their talents on prestigious platforms. We encourage you to seize these opportunities and let the world witness the creative excellence that IED nurtures.
