IED Barcelona Alumnus Thinh Truong Featured at Blanc! Festival

Thinh Truong, alumnus of IED Barcelona, was prominently featured at the recent Blanc! Festival occurred from October 19th to 21st in Vilanova i la Geltrú. The festival is a unique blend of learning, leisure, and creativity, featuring conferences, live music, and a gathering of creative professionals.

As part of the main program of Creative Rebels, Thinh Truong presented his award-winning project, “Unwoven Memories” last October. Thinh was one of the three student winners of Brut! 2023. His project translated memories of objects from the Colonia Güell into a binary code tapestry, giving voice to the textile city by encoding its history into fabric. He identified 260 objects from 26 different colony areas and transformed them into a binary tapestry, using yes-or-no questions to classify each object.
