IED Barcelona Alumni Keeps Growing… and Growing…
News and achievements are never lacking in the IED Alumni Network from around the world, and this month we have a lot of Fashion Design alumni from IED Barcelona who have success stories to share with all of us. So let's be inspired, involved or even just curious!
Let's start with Bet Callieri: the Catalan supermodel is also about to succeed as a fashion designer. A turning point that has not gone unnoticed by Vogue Spain that included an in depth interview of the young designer who talks about her style and professional choices. Success also for Aleix Diaz, who over the past month and a half has worked as a stylist for none other than Richboywest and dressed star Nathy Peluso on two special occasions. Also emerging ever more in the fashion world is Aitor Goikoetxea, featured in two prestigious contexts: at WGSN as a trendsetter, and at the Festival de Mode de Hyères. He also won the iTS International Award. Also worth noting is Maria Ambrosini, who dressed influencer Miri Perez, as well as Prisca Vera and Robber Rodriguez, who directed the look of Emma Chamberlain and the aforementioned international star Nathy Peluso. Cristina Tamborero sets a small record in the history of Spanish fashion. Her collection is the first Spanish bridal brand to parade on the Parisian catwalks during Fashion Week. We also have two finalists at the Bilbao International Fashion Contest BIAAF, Monica Alemany and Luisa Zanetta, while their colleague Jaume Miró has been chosen by the audacious Bad Gyal, who wore one of his bustiers in a recent photo shoot. Also, take a look at Carolina Reig Oliveira’s new fashion brand and Daria Gorkun's Midori Project, featured on Diario Design. A project that reinterprets the next-generation libraries as an information sanctuary for boosting learning in a calm & peaceful environment. Last but not least, Edward Cuming, fashion designer, who dressed Kendrick Lamar. If you are curious to see the outfit chosen by the world's most influential and famous rapper, winner of a Pulitzer Prize for music, as well as thirteen Grammy Awards, you can see it here.
