Morigin, an innovative startup to be supported with crowdfunding
Teresa Colombo, Francesca Pedrotti and Alessandro Maggioni, graduates from IED Milano, ask for the support of the Community to launch their startup. The project, which is also their thesis, is called "The Morigin Project" and aims to improve the living conditions of developing countries in sub-Saharan Africa. The name is inspired by the Moringa Oleifera, also known as the "miracle tree" because in addition to being extremely resistant and having extraordinary nutritional properties - so much so that FAO has classified it as a Superfood - it is also able, through its seeds, to purify water.
The goal of the startup is to launch a sustainable agricultural system of Moringa Oleifera trees, managed by worker cooperatives, which will be able to expand their local business.
In addition to offering new jobs, the people involved will be able to take advantage of the harvest to purify contaminated water, enrich their diet, and independently manage these resources on the local market. Part of the harvest will then be set aside to be sold on the European market through a fair trade system that will follow the FairTrade certification standards, in order to protect the cooperatives and villages involved from start to finish.
Thanks to the collaboration with the Sunugal Association, the three graduates are starting the project in the village of Beud Dieng, in Senegal.
Of course, the project also defined economic objectives, and to achieve them we need your support through a free donation.
