The thrill of being together again
Milano Design Week 2022, IED Headquarters in via Amatore Sciesa. More than just an event, but a stage for the now legendary IED Alumni Roadshow and a series of performances, exhibitions and interviews with former students who have become an inspiration for the whole Community. The event, Taking You Beyond, was all this and more. Enough to want to thank and hug all who made it possible.
But Taking You Beyond was so much more. During this extraordinary event, we were able to rediscover the feeling of being a community, a network, a family. In presence and numerous, we were there to celebrate a joy for which words are not enough… but pix and videos help relive.
Our thanks go to our media partner Radio Raheem, who animated the fabulous Camper, a symbol that characterises our community: welcoming, creative, original, always on the move.
A warm thanks to Fuorisalone who follow us during all week.
Thanks also to all the alumni who participated sharing the path taken with the youngest: Matthieu Aquino, Rebecca Baglini, Gabriele Chiave, Gildo Medina, Dodo Arslan, Bianca del Balzo, Antonio Masciariello, Francesco Meda, Emiliano Ponzi, Federigo Gabellieri, IlBaffogram, Andrea Crespi, Andrea Gemmiti, Eddie Sears, Luca Crescenzi, Nicola Garzetti, Davide Colla, Attila Veress.
A special thanks to Italo Marseglia, Fashion Designer and eclectic creative, and to his wonderful team, whose performance dedicated to sustainability "The Common Thread" was the fil rouge of the whole event and an extraordinary success. The crochet garments produced during the performance are on sale at the La Milanesa boutique, which we also thank, and the proceeds will be devolved to UNHCR.
Thanks also to Vincenzo Pizzi and his Pyteca, the independent music label that animated the evening of 9 June, a Celebration Party made even more special by the DJ set offered by the winners of the Pyteca 4 IED Talent contest. A special thank you also goes to Manteco SpA, Royal Unibrew, Ceres, Lemonsoda, Lemonsoda Energy Activator, Trimero for their collaboration.
But the most important thanks goes to all of you, our magnificent alumni, who animated the historic IED headquarters in Milan every day for the duration of the Design Week, making us rediscover the pleasure of meeting and being together.
We can't wait to do it again next year, but in the meantime there are many other things we can do together: in the Privileges section of the platform you will find special events and suggestions for the coming months and we suggest you also keep an eye on the next stages of the Roadshow.
