IED Venezia partnered with the Bagri Foundation to promote the launch of the Asia Forum for the Contemporary Art of Global Asias, a touring exhibition that promotes Asian artists at international level. The event will take place during the opening of the 59th Venice Biennale d'Arte, on Saturday 23 April, at the Querini Stampalia Foundation, and can be followed in live streaming on the ArtReview website.
The event is for students, academics, researchers and fans of contemporary art, and offers the possibility to meet artists and curators, as well as to question the emerging and current issues with which the world of Asian art is confronted, with interactive sessions and projections.
Asia Forum is conceived by Annie Jael Kwan and curated alongside international curators and researchers, Hammad Nasar, John Tain and Ming Tiampo.
The definitive programme will be available in March, in the meantime you can pre-register here to participate in person or in streaming.
