Tape art and geometries: No Curves exhibition opened at Palazzo Pirelli

Published on February 1, 2022

Works from the last 15 years of tape and urban art by artist “No Curves” are on exhibition in Milan at Spazio Eventi Palazzo Pirelli, the most significant of which lent by foundations, museums, private collectors and from prestigious collaborations with entrepreneurs. An exhibition itinerary that follows the evolution of No Curves' work from the first urban art posters to the murals and partnerships with the world of design and fashion. Opened on Tuesday 18 January, as an initiative of the Lombardy Regional Council, the NO CURVES - Movimento Geometrico exhibition, a personal exhibition by the artist under a pseudonym that was also a IED student in Milan at the end of the 90s, graduating in Illustration and Animation; a talent that the Istituto Europeo di Design continues to support by collaborating on this exhibition through its Alumni sector.

On display is a life dedicated to "tape art" (of which No Curves is one of the founders), with a unique and geometric style defined by the total absence of curves, which earned him the title of “adhesive tape philosopher". "I will never cease to be enchanted by art and artists who know how to develop their talent as an incessant need to evolve: color, shape, urgency, movement, together create something wonderfully unique and authentic in the works that speak to those who they observe them", comments Elena Sacco, Director of IED Alumni Relations. The exhibition, with free admission, will be open until February 19.
