IN A NUTSHELL:
- IED Milano
- Jewellery Design - 2004
- Senior Director, Design Jewelry, Watches & Fragrances at Versace
YOU NOW:
I’m Senior Director of fashion jewellery, watches and fragrances at Versace.
CREATIVITY:
At IED I learned how creativity can turn into a job. It has been essential for me to learn that through a working method an idea can become reality. To know and give the structure of an idea is essential in its realization.

IED LOCATIONS:
I moved to Milan to attend the jewellery design course and thanks to IED I had my first interview with Dolce & Gabbana where I worked for 7 years before to joining Versace. IED played an important role in my life making Milan my base.
MEMORIES:
At IED I met wonderful people many of whom are still dear friends today. One funny story, I still can't understand how they convinced me to impersonate the wolf in our remake of "Le loup" the masterpiece Chanel's spot directed by Luc Besson! Embarrassing but extremely funny and I swear I even passed the course.
CHALLENGES OF OUR TIMES:
2020 has been tough; to transfer 100 % of our work activity to virtual during the tragedy we were living in has caused several difficulties. Today I share my working time between home and the studio but it is clear that we are living a transformation, it will be interesting to see how the world of work and in particular workspaces will adapt to these changes.
ADVICE:
Creativity and ingenuity are more fundamental today than ever to overcome these difficult moments, companies try to understand how this period will affect the future. I think that the key to success for the next creatives will be knowing how to interpret these signals and knowing how to design keeping this in mind.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST:
I grew up in a family of goldsmiths and it is very clear to me how heritage and technique are essential weapons for the success of a project. 3d modelling is the tool that allows me to better express my work. The topic of my thesis was the psychology of form (Gestalt) I was very fascinated by how visual perception follows innate laws in the human being.
