Stefano Bassan and Gianluca Sigismondi of Finemateria. Finemateria is a design studio established in 2020 that investigates products by focusing on processes and materials, paying particular attention to sensorial aspects. Stefano and Gianluca had nurtured this philosophy since their IED days, when they started various collaborations with design studios, laying out the path that led them to DOPO?, a space dedicated to cultural work and shared recreation. This location, nestled in the Corvetto district of Milan, currently houses their studio, along with other diverse projects, united by the goal of exploring the relationship between work and cultural production. “The human story behind us is a friendship that later also found common ground in ideals and work perspectives. Before becoming a "designer duo", we were friends and university mates engaged in related recreational activities. Then, we aimed to change the system that surrounds Milan and Italy when it comes to work. That is, we tried not to be exploited and instead to become a proposal on the market ourselves. Everything else followed from there!” Says Gianluca.
Davide Colla of Viento. Viento was conceived with a clear vision - the dream of combining a passion for padel in its most technical form with the idea of an evolving, inclusive community. Driven by enthusiasm for the sport, Viento built its brand around the desire to support a continually progressing sport. What started as a shared passion among friends, has transcended the boundaries of a court, bringing the dedication to padel into the daily lives of those who experience it. The brand's key pillars are inclusivity and passion, coupled with meticulous attention to detail. This keen focus ranges from the technical aspects of the sport to the results of detailed aesthetic research that makes each piece unique and every match unforgettable. One of the key figures in forming Viento is Davide Colla, a mentor and lecturer at IED Milano.
