Valerio Bava is the new co-creative director of Malone Souliers
Internal promotion for Valerio Bava, who, along with his colleague Coco Fong, also a long-standing member of the Malone Souliers team, has been appointed as the luxury footwear brand's creative director. The two young designers will replace Mary Alice Malone, the brand's founder, who will work alongside the CEO and the executive team, focusing on strategic planning.
The first collection under the new creative leadership will be the FW 23/24 collection, which will be presented at the end of July and showcased during the London Fashion Week in September.
Valerio Bava, 32 years old, was born into a family of embroiderers, seamstresses, and shoemakers. He graduated in Fashion Design from IED Milano and immediately focused on shoes and accessories. In 2017, he moved to London and started working at Malone Souliers as a design assistant. In 2020, he became a senior designer alongside Coco, with whom he now shares this new journey within the company.
