There were as many as four IED alumni out of 10 finalists to compete for the Camera della Moda Nazionale Italiana Fashion Trusts, a highly coveted award for all independent Made in Italy brands. Thanks to this program young brands can access financial support as well as business mentoring and one-to-one tutoring offered by the Trust's prestigious network. They were Francesco Murano, Marcello Pipitone, Florania (Flora Rabitti) and Cavia (Martina Boero), selected from as many as 76 participants. The beneficiaries of this edition were announced on Thursday, May 25 when the finalists presented their collections and outlined their plans for potential use of the funds. Afterwards, the committee selected the four brands to which, starting in June 2023, will be dedicated an exclusive path to support their brand development. One of the three scholarships worth 40 thousand euros was awarded to Marcello Pipitone, while Florania will receive financial support of 15 thousand euros from Max & Co to participate in a special project with the brand. In addition, Francesco Murano was chosen by Chiara Ferragni (one of the jury members) as the designer of the outfit worn at the awards event.
