ReA! Art Fair 2023 Open Call

From the 20th of January, it is possible to apply to the Open Call dedicated to emerging artists who want to participate in the annual edition of ReA! Art Fair. Now in its fourth edition, the Fair will be held in October 2023 at the Fabbrica del Vapore premises and will host the works of the 100 artists selected by the curatorial team.
Through the annual Fair, the ReA Arte association pursues its mission of supporting the work of emerging artists, providing young talents with a space to exhibit their works, meet collectors and galleries, make themselves known to a broad audience and offer them a real sales opportunity.
The applications will be accepted from the 20th of January to the 6th of April 2023.
How to participate
The Call for Entries is open to all Italian and international visual artists by filling in the application form on the website https://www.reafair.com/open-call. The applicant may submit a finalised artistic project or an ongoing one to be exhibited at the Fair.
The information required for the application includes the following:
- Description of the artistic project and Artist Statement
- Updated Portfolio
- Artist's Bio or CV/Resume
Applications for the Call for Entries are divided into two periods. "Early Bird" will last from the 20th of January to the 20th of February - you can send your application with a reduced fee of €40.00. From the 21st of February, until the Call for Entries closes, the cost will be €55.00.
The exhibition has no thematic constraints and includes the following categories: Painting, Drawing, Photography, Video, Performance, Sculpture, Mixed Media, Digital Art, Street Art and NFT.
The curatorial committee will select artists after all applications have been collected. The 100 chosen artists will be announced on social media and in the newsletter on the 1st of May.
The selected artists will be able to see their works presented in a curatorial project of international scope, created with the utmost care. There is no additional cost for the artists to exhibit once they've been selected, and the sales proceeds will go directly to support their artistic work.
They will also have the opportunity to compete for some prestigious prizes. Ten artists will be selected for the 'ReA! Art Prize' which will allow them to be included in a group exhibition in Milan organised by ReA Arte. Additionally, two artists will be selected to participate in an artist residency in Italy. Finally, a cash prize worth 1,500€ will be awarded to an artist selected by an external jury on behalf of the Artsted project.
The ReA! Art Fair continues to grow. The last edition welcomed more than 5,000 visitors: the general public, journalists and collectors, reaching a peak attendance of more than 2,000 on the final day. More than 20% of the artists participating in the Fair sold their works during the Fair.
